Housing Rises by $1 Trillion

National Home Prices rose 3.2% year-over-year, according to S&P/Case-Shiller. Atlanta, Boston, and Miami led metro area price appreciation at 4.0%, 3.9%, and 3.9%, respectively. While Los Angeles, New York, and San Franciso trailed the national average by single digits, but still rose 1.1%, 0.9%, and 0.2%. Census Bureau tabulates occupied housing units at 122.5 million.
